stopping time.
i love october for many reasons. one of them is that it means
it's time for an updated family picture. i realized how important this was
to me when i was pregnant with bianca. we got pictures and
chloe was 5, anika was 4 and ellie was 2. when we got them back,
they looked so much more grown up than i thought of them.
that is when i realized even more that time was a thief and such a precious gift.
so, even when everything is not exactly perfect--
you know nothing ever is--we can stop time for just a second
and be thankful. thankful for this imperfectly perfect thing called family.
i couldn't love them more.
photos by beth fletcher photography. she was so kind and accommodating letting
us slip into a last minute opening. she is wonderful with the kids--even our
"most spirited child" and when the twins broke down & i sat to feed them for a bit.
i think she said she might have more sneaks up on her FB page today. maybe the brothers?!
so thankful for these, beth.
now go get some family pictures, friends!

psst--my birthday project to free children from ugandan prisons
and resettle them is ongoing until we reach the $7500 needed.
we are just $1040 from that goal.
