joyfully.

i don't have a total yet in the money raised for Ekisa,
but i had one more burden placed on my heart for them.
someone wrote and said they truly did not have the $33 to give
right now. they were sorry that they only gave what they could.
i am not sorry. i'm so proud of & thankful for that person.
if someone feels led to give, we should give joyfully
if someone feels led to give, we should give joyfully
what we've prayerfully decided to give. whether it was the $1.25 that one
of our kiddos put in the mail to Ekisa or it was 10 times the suggested amount,
God loves a joyful giver. [2 Cor 9:7]. i believe He will bless & multiply
money joyfully given as well as bless the giver.
practically though, i wanted those that truly don't have $33 yet
want to be a part of this blessing for Ekisa to be able to join in.
what if just 50 people could give just $10 a month?
i cringe at how quickly i might spend $10--basically a muffin
& latte at starbucks every now and then.
yet, little adds up to much.
if 50 people could give $10 a month for a year?
that is $6,000.
for Ekisa to care for these children & help those
families in their village that they are partnering with that are caring for
their children with special needs.
it's big and it's real. these are precious little lives that, through us
sharing our blessings, allow Ekisa staff & volunteers to show
them just how precious and loved they are.
so, just for today....
let's see how many commitments of monthly sponsors
will rise up.
you can sign up for a tax deductible monthly sponsorship below.
i'll have a final total for you as soon as possible.

DeleteLove, I LOVE every little bit of your blog. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm two months into my masters of occupational therapy, and I've been discussing with one of my closest friends (also doing her OT masters) about Ekisa - we both want so badly to do some OT volunteer work there when we are done. I want to go love on every ounce of those beautiful children!
You inspire me :)
this is awesome! you'd never regret it!
