happy one month.

sweet girls.  you are one month old.  i can hardly believe it.  oh, how i miss

you tucked away in my belly, but am so thankful to have you here at the same time.

you both love to be swaddled, are exclusively nursing, sit in the bouncer sleeping

through homeschool, eat every 3 hours around the clock, strongly dislike baths

and can sleep through most anything.

evie, with your big, sweet yawn--

you love to sleep--i think slightly more than your sister.  you'll take your

paci sometimes, but don't need it.  you are a pound less and an inch longer.

i love your long, skinny birdie legs.  your eyes are wise and your manner

is cool & calm.  i love when you raise your eyebrows and your forehead becomes

a series of 5 or 6 wrinkles all the way across it; you look like a cute, little old person.

you are a joy, no doubt, evelyn joy.  keep growing, sweet one.  we are so thankful for you.

emmy, with your sweet, loving eyes--

what fun it is to snuggle you all day.  you usually lay cradled in my arm as your little sister lays

right on top--her head resting on your side. you like to have at least one hand just barely 

sticking out of your swaddle. your paci is a must.  eating is your thing & i think you'd do it

all day if you could.  being a pound bigger & an inch shorter means that you've already

added the slightest bit of chunk to your thighs.  i'm thankful for your growth, but must

it be so quickly?  what a little love you are, emelia love.  you could not be more cherished.

 sometimes, i'm tired.  oh, there are times that i'm exhausted.

i am so filled with joy, but there are times i still mess up and lose focus

of what is important.  i'm probably dropping the ball in a lot of other areas, but

someone told me this recently and it resonated.  i believe it with all my heart.

i was made for this.
