small style.

we're in major pack & move mode over here, friends!
the new house is having its final cleaning right now.
i'm throwing everything left into boxes & being thankful that
they don't have to go far at all.  what haven't i given you a peek
at yet?  how about the dining room?  it's big.
that was one of my non-negotiables--our family has to be able to
sit around the table together and there be room for guests.
here's half of the room:

the kids are having fun packing up & labeling the boxes with sharpies.
last night, anika was packing in the kitchen.  she was so proud of
her help and the fact that she can now spell kitchen so easily.  clayton
came in and dumped nutmeg in his hair and then the floor.
anika, in her non-chalant-for-a-laugh typical self said to me,
mooooom! clay wants to be baked.
i love her.

on anika:
scarf: mine from Maurice's
hoodie: forget the brand, but from The Mini Social
skirt: target
leggings: Misha Lulu
ankle boots: Gymboree
[i love her random, mixed up & perfectly-her outfits.]

  11. Gotta ask you a question - what type of hardwood is that??? We are renovating and I have a sample up in my kitchen/dining/living room right now that looks very similar. I'm having a heck of a time deciding on my hardwood! Is it walnut or acacia or something totally different? I think you might have just helped me pick!
