small style.
his boy is shining through more and more.
both the baby and the alone are falling farther and farther away.
i look at him--at all of them--sometimes and am overwhelmed at how
very unqualified for this i am. for this job. this blessing. this honor.
and soon, i'll parent my children in my home that i've only
really parented in my heart and prayers. a true big boy and
a littler one that is not even quite sure of our language yet.
i remember that the only language truly needing to be spoken
[to all of them] though is love and grace and the Word.
i'm underqualified, but overly grateful.
to watch him blossom and sit with me & tell stories.
to run and ride off with trust.
to love.

ReplyDeletebeautifully put.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteLove your heart:)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! You all are so perfect for each other. I, too, so often feel under-qualified as a mother and I'm thankful that His grace is sufficient.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Clay is starting to look like such a "big boy" these days and less like a baby...how time flies! Love the last picture of him; it is totally frame-worthy!
ReplyDeleteyour littlest boy is so beautiful--and growing so quickly! i miss the baby a little but love watching him bloom.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing it will be to have your older sons reteach Clay his native language!
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration, Lovelyn. THANK YOU for challenging us all to open our hearts.
