bits.
last night, i had a 31 bits party at a local coffee shop.
it was so good to see so many friends & help them shop for
themselves & meaningful Christmas gifts.
it is amazing to look at this beautiful jewelry & imagine
the women on the other side of the world....
laughing, joking, chatting
while they make them.
we might be different, but i think that
we're much more alike.
some of my friends traveled from 2[ish] hours away.
jade's son & clayton were friends in africa &
it still blows me away that God has their forever homes
just a couple hours apart.
i've gained a soul sister in jade throughout this journey
and of everywhere in the world that she could live?!
i love it.
[oh my, i just peeked at her blog to link it. hilarious outtakes of this picture.]
i had to get out to the grocery store today.
it was very against my hibernating ways to be out so much
in 24 hours. the cold, the pushing the carts through slush,
the people. oh my goodness, so many people.
ellie was a little trooper & so much fun to be with.
i held in any complaints & just tried to go with it.
despite the fact that it took 2 hours longer than a
normal [warm, no dirty slush, not 87,000 people at the store] trip.
also, i should mention that all complaints were held in until i saw matt.
i might have told him that i wasn't going to the store again before 11pm. ever again.
[i never exaggerate. also? i'm thankful he finds my silly rants funny.]
i will say something really nice about the cold now.
[can't we find some good in everything?!]
i like the way it makes my hands feel.
all shrunken up and cool.
my rings twirl around and catch extra light.
i notice my bronze nail polish more
and it makes me smile.
so, i take a picture to remind me....
it really is the little things.

Love the ring!
