the day.
a re-cap of clay's birthday because my mama-heart says
that i'll never forget these little details,
but my mama-brain knows that might not be entirely true.
it was lovely.
i started to panic about not having planned
this big ol' bash to celebrate his day.
not that there's anything wrong with those bashes,
but we just spent the day:
at the apple orchard,
readying the house with whatever we had on hand as he napped,
having a home-cooked meal,
making homemade cupcakes that got smooshed before they were passed out
& playing with a few new boy [!] toys on the floor all together
before tucking everyone into bed.
it was perfect.

So warm and happy. I heart this.
