allow the blessings.
these 2 sweethearts have come to me with a request to help a family that wants to adopt.
they have a plan and i'm looking forward to them seeing the fruits of their labor
and feeling the blessing that it is to be a blessing.
are you in the process of fundraising for an adoption?
will you please just leave a comment with a little bit about your family that i can
read to chloe and anika?
they want to pray about it and find a family to bless.
i don't know God's plan here, but i know they are pumped to do this
and i'm behind them all the way.
blessings and prayers for each of you!

Your childrens' hearts make my eyes well up.
ReplyDeleteChloe and Anika,
ReplyDeleteOur family looks a little bit like yours. We have five children already. Our twin boys are six. Then we have a 4 year old boy, a 3 year old girl (Ellen, who I know would make you laugh), and a 19 month old girl, Willa. We are adopting from Uganda. So our children are similar in age to your family, you can imagine the noise and fun at our house! We hope to find out very soon about our new baby and we are praying that we will be able to travel to her this fall. Your mommy has been a big encouragement to us since we began this process and we love learning about all of you and how you love all of your siblings so sweetly.
Hugs!
Lora
Chloe and Anika,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Anna. My husband, Josh & I have been in the process of adoption for over 2 years now. We have 2 little boys already. Braden is 4 1/2 & Tanner is 2 1/2. They are so anxious to meet their 2 sisters. We are trying ever so patiently to wait for our 2 little girls' referral from Uganda. They will be between the ages of 0-4 years old. We're praying we hear from our agency any day now to tell us about our little girls. Your family & the Kovacs family were a huge influence on us choosing Uganda. It has been a very long, challenging road, but we know in God's timing we will have our 2 little girls in our arms soon. You 2 have hearts of gold! What a blessing it is to your parents, I'm sure, for you both to have such a heart for the orphans of this world. My prayer is that God will keep that passion strong for the both of you throughout your lives.
How amazing that God is stirring their hearts towards His purposes. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe have two bio children. Boy(7), Girl (4). God has called us to adopt from Ethiopia. We are waiting for our court date any minute & will be traveling twice. We are longing to see our little girl (4 months old).We are hoping to pass our 2 court dates before rainy season (Aug). Just received pics of her yesterday. She is beautiful.
Praising God for your beautiful family!
Dear sweet girls,
ReplyDeleteYour mommy is soo lucky to have four girls!
God placed adoption on my heart many many years ago and then one day He just opened the door! Everyone knew I wanted a baby sister for my three boys, but it was those three boys who began praying on their own for this amazing miracle. I have taken lots of time to talk with God about His wishes for our family and He has told me that adopting our sweet baby from Ethiopia is where He needs us to be right now, but soon He will send us on a different path...to help the children all over Africa.
You are both such an inspiration--something I'm constantly saying about your mama and we haven't even met! :0)
Lots of prayers on YOUR new journey.
~Kendra.....mommy to 3handsome boys and 1 beautiful baby girl
Dear Chloe and Anika,
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing family you have! I always love visiting your mama's site and seeing what you are up to. I am so excited to be adopting a baby from Ethiopia to bring into our family. I have 3 boys and 1 girl (my little girl Zoe is secretly praying for a sister and I have to keep reminding her that we will be happy with any baby that is sent our way!) We are still at the very beginning stages of all of this and although at times it seems a bit scary and impossible I know that this is what God wants for our family and we have to trust Him.
Thank you for being such wonderful examples in the way you love your little brother.
Kind regards,
Shar
Hi! Our names are Shane and Megan. Being a daddy and a mommy is the happiest thing for us in the whole wide world! Our Carter Jesse is almost four and our Ruby Jane is almost one. We waited five whole years for Carter to be born and spent three years looking for Ruby. Ever since sweet Ruby was born last year, we have felt strongly that our Heavenly Father was going to send us another miracle baby much faster this time.
ReplyDeleteA few months ago, we cried happy tears when we found out that another baby was already on the way and will be born in November! Carter's birth mommy has chosen us to adopt the new baby growing in her tummy. Carter prays every day for his birth momma Jesse and baby sister. He can't wait to have another little sister!
We are trying to work very hard to raise enough money for our adoption fees and travel expenses even though this baby is coming very soon. We know that this baby girl is meant to be a part of our family and that God will help us as we are busy trying to do all that we can!
We think it is so kind and generous that you are trying to help other families grow and we know you will be blessed!
Love,
The Hiltons

We're not in the process of adopting yet, but Chloe and Anika? You have beautiful hearts. Thanks for allowing your heart to be molded and made more and more beautiful by God (and Jesuses with skin on- like your mother).
ReplyDeleteWow! Chloe and Anika, I wish you could meet my kids! They would love to work WITH you to help families! They are always coming up with fun ideas so other kids can have families!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for your sweet hearts!
We have 4 sweet kids already - Rebekah is 8, Joshua is 6, Bailey is 4 and Sawyer is about to turn 2 years old. We are in the process to adopt 2 little boys from Rwanda. We can not WAIT to meet them...we pray for them and think about them ALL the time...and we are taking our kids with us when we fly to get our new sons. They can't WAIT to go to Africa!
Bless you, sweet girls! Keep loving Him with all your hearts!
Hi Chloe and Anika!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting way to show how much you love your family- to help other families grow!
My family is adopting from Ethiopia. Even though we're in the early stages, my 4 year old already tells everyone about his brother. Even playing at the park the other day his 2 yo brother ran by and he told a new friend, "That's my brother and I have another brother we need to go pick up in Africa!" And tonight when we said we might go out to eat, he said, "We need to eat at home so we can save money for my brother!"
I hope that he, like you two, will learn to not only love the orphan who will become his brother, but love all orphans and help them find forever families!
Chloe and Anika,
ReplyDeleteYou are such special girls, and so many of your mommy's readers care about your family, as well. Thank you for caring for ours!
We have three children in our family- a boy who is seven, a boy who is four and a girl who is about to turn two. We are waiting patiently for two more sweet babies from Ethiopia.
Molly :)
Hello!
ReplyDeleteThe hearts of your children are awesome!
We are currently in the process of adopting from Rwanda. We have to children and are planning on adding another. We had hoped to add two, but we do not qualify...so we will do this again someday for a fourth:) We have been struggling to fund raise for some time. We have had a garage sale almost every Saturday this summer, we have sold a lot of things in our home that we see as luxuries, we have shirts that we are selling, we are selling coffee, we are selling 147 million orphan merchandise, and we are donating plasma. We are still coming up short for our next payment. We have been praying for help and trusting God. My husband is a pastor at our church and we have been told that we are not to do anything at our church in regards to our adoption as that would be mixing "personal with business." Seeing as how we are fairly new to the area, we really only know the people at church and we are having a hard time. We are ready to be radical to make this adoption happen and we are working on selling even more things that are luxuries and donating plasma twice a week. I am hoping we will pave the way for future adoptive parents to have an easier time at our church. I pray that God urges others at our church to open their hearts to the fatherless after witnessing our journey to Judah.
Thanks for the allowing us to follow along your life via your blog!

Dear Sweet Chloe & Anika,
ReplyDeleteI have been following your mommies blog for quite some time! I love to see all of her pictures of you both and your BEAUTIFUL family!!! And since we are also adopting form Africa, I especially love all the stories of your brother Clay!!!
My husband Joel and I have been praying about the opportunity to be a mommie and a daddie for a long long time. And we are excited to share that God has answerd our prayers and is taking us on a journey to be a mommie and daddie for a sweet little boy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The DRC is a neighboring country of Uganda where your brother Clay was born. :) We have named our little boy Kaden. He is about 8 months old and he currently is living in an orphanage. We hope to bring Kaden home to join our family by Christams of this year. :)
Your family has been a huge inspiration to us of God's love! I treasure your mommies posts about adoption and how it has blessed your family. And, I am so proud of you both for allowing God to work in your hearts!!!
Love in Christ
Joel & Kristie Craig
To two sweet munchkins,
ReplyDeleteDo you know what a special family you are a part of? Do you realize how much your Mommy and Daddy (and sisters and brother) adore you? They have taught you to have BIG HEARTS and that makes you beautiful little people :) I hope you will continue to put others first as you grow...it is such a beautiful thing to watch :)
We are adopting a little boy from Ethiopia...we hope to see his face VERY soon! I hope my own children are learning to have BIG HEARTS just like you girls!!

Hello!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason... i can't use my login correctly... so I am having to click "Anonymous"... forgive me :(
My Husband, Ed and I are in the process of adopting from Ethiopia. We sent our Dossier off on May 21st and are eagerly in the "waiting" portion of our journey! We are selling shirts that say, "I helped an orphan become a Wanderer" :)
We do not have any children... I have had fertility issues since I was a teenager, however, I have known since I was a small girl that i wanted to adopt! My Dad is an apple farmer and my mom a preschool teacher. I have always been taught that adoption is a beautiful calling and one that will be hard, but worth every moment!
My hubby and I are enjoying each moment of this journey... can't wait to see our little wonder soon! :)
Your family is lovely.. I am a bit addicted to your blog. :) It is a blessing during the waiting moments of this journey.
love to you!

what good hearts your girls have....it makes me happy and hopeful!
ReplyDeleteHey there girlies!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet and have such loving hearts. Your family is like ours. We have a just turned 7 year old a 5, 4 and 2 i/2 year old and in the process of adopting little sister for our daughter. Woule love for her to experience the things that you sisters all experience together. We love tho splash in the puddles, play with frogs and bugs, watch the stars, cook marshmallows, splash in mud puddles and give hugs and love each other up whenevr we can. We have put our house up for sale to help fund this adoption but have had no luck yet. We have had a lot of failed fundraiser attempts in our city so it has been very hard and strainging at times, but we never give up on our faith. Adoption and color is very new in this small community we live in. We love to advocate and dig deep in our hearts and show people how awesome our God really is. Thank you for showing us your love and your giving hearts. I would love to be friends and run around and play with your family! Blessings!
fyi: i'm going to close this in 1 hour [when it's been up for 24 hours] because i don't want the girls to be overwhelmed. i have a feeling there will be more opportunities, too. =)
ReplyDeletelove to EACH of you....and i'll be adding your blogs to my reader soon so i can follow your journey. always praying for each of you that are adopting/considering adoption! bless you!
Hey love and little lovelies!
ReplyDeleteif you don't mind praying for my husband and I. We are in the midst of adopting from Uganda. It has been nine months since we have started. We can't wait til the day we meet our first child. I am soooo ready but God says not just yet. Please pray for patience for me. His timing is perfect so we will wait.
Hopefully you gals can draw strength from these verse too in the near future:
Habakkuk 2
1 What's God going to say to my questions? I'm braced for the worst. I'll climb to the lookout tower and scan the horizon.
I'll wait to see what God says,
how he'll answer my complaint.
Full of Self, but Soul-Empty
2-3And then God answered: "Write this.
Write what you see.
Write it out in big block letters
so that it can be read on the run.
This vision-message is a witness
pointing to what's coming.
It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait!
And it doesn't lie.
If it seems slow in coming, wait.
It's on its way. It will come right on time.
much love to the whole family, Amy
