trisha
please notice the support button i posted on the right. if you have $5 or even a prayer to share, please read trisha's story. she is the girlfriend of a guy i went to high school with. i really do encourage you to read her story, but for a shortened version:
trisha is 29 years old and has recently been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. she and her boyfriend, john, had just found out they were expecting a baby. trisha chose to keep her baby and not undergo chemotherapy even though it cut her expected time to live down by 4 months. she has undergone surgery and radiation, but has recently slipped into a coma. the baby is 13 weeks.
it is so difficult to read updates on trisha and imagine the raw pain that her boyfriend, her dad, her mom, her friends and loved ones are experiencing. i can offer no more than some money, to ease a couple expenses, and a lot of prayers. but, i believe in prayer. and if you do...would you say one, too? what a miracle and a blessing that baby could be to this distraught family.
i am humbled with gratitude that i am, again, forever changed by someone that i have never met. changed to remember, even more closely than i do already, just how precious every moment that we spend is.
blessings to you in all your little and big moments today.

Wow Love...what a heartbreaking story...i will most definatly be praying for her, the baby, and her boyfriend and family. I too believe in the power of prayer and will pass the word on.
ReplyDeleteI will certainly pray for her.
ReplyDeleteI just read a similar story in our local paper. The mother was in the coma long enough to give birth, and while her condition still requires hospitalization she survived and is improving. Here is the story.

Wow...these whole story is breaking my heart. I cannot even fathom the pain that John and her family are going through. Prayers for Trisha and everyone who knows her...
ReplyDeleteI went to her website and did a little reading and it just broke my heart! What a story! My heart goes out to her family. On a lighter note, who do you think of when you first glance at the picture of her on the website? Any mutual girlfriend come to mind?
ReplyDeleteI'm 9 wks pregnant, and can't even imagine bad news like that. This brings me to tears. Prayer works though, so I'll pray for them right now.

Lovelyn,
ReplyDeleteHave you been to the site today? John sent out a Myspace bulletin that Trisha passed early this morning. There aren't really words but I am so, so sorry for him, Trisha's family & friends. I am keeping the prayers going up for their family to heal.
