GNO

what do you do when your wonderful girlfriend calls an impromptu girl's night out when needing an listening ear, a drink & dessert??
-promptly consult with hubby. ("of course!"--he's so supportive!)
-quickly put jammies on 3 girls & explain daddy's taking them to bed. (went over okay.)
-jump in shower even though there's no time to wash hair. (i'll tease and poof & pretend i'm going for the messy look.)
-explain to 3 year old who has wandered into bathroom, taken off clothing & begun to shower that only mommies can go tonight. (went over poorly.)
-let said 3 year old stay in shower playing with body sprays for entertainment. (anything for distraction right now.)
-peel attached 3 year old from body, while explaining how much you love her & must right now go help another mommy. (dad said she handled it well.)
-meet ladies at bon femme...enjoy: white chocolate raspberry martini while passing plates of: creme brulee, homemade raspberry ice cream balls wrapped in dark chocolate, bread pudding, and homemade turtle cheesecake. (girlfriend's needs trump "watching" what i eat.)
-be refreshed from laughter, sadness, hope & love. (girlfriends are truly blessings!)
i love ya, girl!! (well, all you girls, but especially the one who needed the ear.)
(totally meant to take pics of yummy desserts & drinks...but before i knew it, they had disappeared!!)

love you too love! thanks for the fun night. :)
