play.

our 5 year olds are out of pre-K for the year.  it is fun to have them home.  they
love to play together, they think chores are awesome & being the biggest siblings home
is a neat change for them.
our 3 year olds are loving having jude and ellie home, but love to go off
by themselves just as much.  right before they spread these magazines out
to read, they had a dance party all by themselves in the living room.

i resisted the urge to join in on either sets of our 'twins' in these moments.
i love to play with them & hear what they have to say, but there is something
so special about just letting them be.  together.

  1. Love it. And I know what you mean about just letting them "be" and watching them from afar. So sweet.

    1. i'm beyond thankful for your prayers and your always encouraging words! thank you!!

the table is from Arhaus furniture. it was originally pretty expensive, but we found a store close with a close out price on their floor model & had it painted white to match our kitchen area. so nice that everyone can sit together at breakfast! =)

  8. Sitting back and watching the children is far better than anything that could possibly be watched on tv!

  9. Me and my only-child spent the weekend with her cousins and I thoroughly enjoyed the rare opportunity to watch her in moments like that.
