stopping.

babies really could care less about being surrounded by boxes, couldn't they?
or finding that place i stuck the fabric softener so i'd have it right when we moved in
to start the mounds of clothes that have accumulated.  they really don't care that these 
clothes need to go in that dresser now or the hunt i'm on for the casserole dish to
make tonight's dinner.  they just want to be here today:

so, we do.  and as one runs off to play and one remains,
i one-finger-peck & type--reminding myself that this embracing
and meeting them where they are and stopping to physically
love on one [or two] is what it's all about.
