lemon shake ups.

hi, friends. hope you're having a good week.  someday i'll show "normal" pictures again, but
these old-flair ones are the only ones i can share for now.  embrace their charm with me, k?

here's my love and i driving.  just us with some kiddie cups between us.
[and random "when-are-we-gonna-beeee-there's" along with several "i gotta go potty's!"]
i mean, road trips with kids are pretty universal, right?  i am thinking about sharing a little more
about how we travel. i don't think that we're the experts or anything, but we have been to the
mountains, several beaches, New York City and Disney with our family and i'd love to take
them more places.

it doesn't freak me out to travel with 5 kids under 7 years old, but i'm finding out that maybe it does
some people.  so anyway, maybe i'll think of my super secret tips sometime.  [not super or secret.]
this picture kinda shows one.  if the crankies start? roll the windows down and pump up some
worship music. it works.  i promise.

look at our sweet little girlies picking out balloons.  man, kids love balloons.  clay did not want to
get down and get one.  why you ask?  see that carousel in the the background?  yeah.  he's not a fan.
his sisters did bring him over an orange balloon that he pretty much made every person we passed
smile with how much! he! loved! it!

oh bianca girl.
she loved exploring and waving to all the passers-by.  what she didn't love is when
mom decided it'd be super cute to dress up and get one of those old time pictures with shot guns
and bottles of Jim Beam.  baby girl wasn't so crazy about the hotness that was that studio and outfit.

also.  as we were packing up at home, a package was delivered that had our Ergo in it that i got
1/2 off. [!]  i threw it in with our stuff thinking that i'd prefer my go-to ring sling anyway.
then...i panicked on the highway as i realized that i didn't have my beloved ring sling.
i considered buying another, but figured i'd try this new one...
i know i'll still love a ring sling for everyday use, but let me tell you that the Ergo is worth every
penny.  even if i hadn't bought it half price.  seriously.  love it.
[not getting paid for this, though i wouldn't turn down another Ergo if they tried.]

finally, my favorite carnival game ever.  well, except the one where you put a quarter on a color
and the mouse runs around into a winning color hole.  [but, i never see that one anymore.]  i love
the water shooting game.  even if it means another stuffed animal.  sigh.

happy, magical, fair fun to you.
[lemon shake ups and funnel cakes, too.]

  6. I am SO glad the Ergo is working. I had a similar panic when I forgot to pack a SB, but the Ergo ended up being just perfect for us. (Not to say that I don't love Sakura, though!)
I am so glad you're having an amazing time, but I'd be lying if I pretended like I didn't miss having you around!.

  11. oh...we just got back from a two week trip to barcelona and paris (why would my dad choose two HUGE cities?!) for our family trip. there were sooo many kids and a baby or two and while they all did well...i craved a nice stretch of grass for them to play on by the end. i have a list of tricks as well, but most of them have to do with bribing and bribing some more. so, five is possible? we're starting on #3 (adoption) and were commenting on the fact that we might just hole up and stay at home on the next big trip. good to know it's possible. oh, and hello...and yes, i'm a stranger who loves your blog. nice to meet you. have a safe return home.
