{random picture that does not go with random happenings of today}
-while playing outside today, bianca pulled herself up on her carseat that was sitting beside her on the blanket. pulled.herself.up. yes, she was totally wobbly and had no idea what to think, but she is SIX MONTHS. (she's doing it again. right now.) holy overachiever, 4th child.
-we've been watching a nest of eggs since we moved in 3 weeks ago. remember the mama bird, in the last post? i've been photographing the nest, eggs and mama bird every couple days. her eggs were so beautiful. creamy white with brown speckles. "they" say that it is actually an undesirable bird and to not even let them nest. i say she was such a good, smart & hard-working mama. we were so excited to see the sweet baby birds hatch 2 days ago. today? bees were swarming their precious, little bodies on our front porch. ugh....i know that this probably happens all the time, but it still broke my heart.
-matt is rarely sick. he woke up SO sick today. finally, this afternoon when i checked on him, he mumbled, "what day is it? i think i missed a meeting. i need a fan & the ER." he is never like that, so i gave him advil & a fan, called who he was supposed to be meeting, and loaded everyone up to take him. we pulled into the parking lot & he said he suddenly felt like a new man. that needed a slurpee. slurpees for all and it seems to be going well.
-i have eaten an entire extra large tube of cookie dough in the last two days. i think maybe i would want mushroom pierogies and cookie dough for my last meal.
-yesterday i bought a ticket to Africa. for our adoption. in less than a month. =)

So many exciting things!
ReplyDeleteI cracked up at the slurpee story... my husband has done similar things when sick!
And oh my... cookie dough and mushroom pirogies... YUM!
First off, I love that picture!! Adorable! I also found the sick husband needing only a slurpee instead of the ER was funny... :)
ReplyDeletehi corinne and kate! =) i love having you visit!
ReplyDeletejust wanted to clarify that matt really was sick and for some reason advil is working like a miracle drug. after the advil/slurpee incident he was weak and felt terrible again until the next round of medication. hoping it was just a 24 hour thing that is gone tomorrow!!
I can't wait to hear all about the adoption...living vicariously through you right now :)
ReplyDeletetake a bow Jenn
I don't know why, but the whole slurpee aspect of Matt's sickness makes me giggle so much. Slurpees cure everything!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you last night!
