parties & puppies

ahhh...we just finished cleaning up after our cinco de mayo party. i intended to get lots of fun pictures....but i suppose between the fun and the 13/18 adult to kid ratio--i didn't have time for that! i so enjoyed relaxing and watching the kids have a ball together. our girls are usually in bed by 7:30 (as they refuse to believe in naps anymore!)...so a night staying up until 9:45 has to feel like a serious par-tay to them! here is THE only pic i got! anika with her friend lilly in their little mexican dresses! (sorry about the horrific lighting!!)

earlier today the girls had just gotten in the bath and my mom stopped over to introduce them to her new 5 week old bulldog, lucy! they promptly hopped out of the bathtub (hence the nakedness!) and were in total love with lucy! chloe is especially drawn to animals, as evidenced by the post below where she tried to pick a cat instead of a new brother or sister! =) if my hubby could have seen the sincere love and joy she had while gently holding lucy...i don't know that he'd be able to deny her a puppy! but, even though i love dogs, i've always said i will have another baby before i have a puppy--they're so much work too! so until we've decided that we're absolutely done with babies...no puppy. (i thought) but, seeing her today tugged at my heart!!

soooo....those of you with babies and puppies please weigh in! should we let 3 year old chloe get a puppy?? isn't it hard work?? should we be done having babies first? here's some pictures of the girls w/ lucy!

  2. How precious! Our neighbor has a bull dog puppy and they are so cute as puppies. We have a five year old bassett hound named Luke and a three year old dachshund named Rett. Emma loves playing with Retto. I was worried at first but they are best buds now! I think as long as you research what breed of puppy you want and find an agreeable puppy that it would be fine.
