continuing cross country.

it's totally normal to continue blogging about our epic cross country road trip 3 months later,
through the night--which means matt drove through the night--and ended up in:

we stopped for a rest stop picnic.  everyone was glad to run around and have real food.  there
was a sign on the building that warned of snakes.  i was really loving utah already, so i
chose to be watchful, but also try to IGNORE THAT GROSS SIGN.

we continued on to the cabin that a friend so graciously let us stay at for the week.  it
was gorgeous and more than big enough for our family.  it also confirmed to me how
wonderful it will be to have 2 washers and 2 dryers in our next home.  so quick & easy--
what a luxury.  we had such a great time relaxing as a family here.  the mountain scenery
was breathtaking.  i had never traveled west at all prior to this.  we had a lot of fun
exploring Park City and some areas around it, but that will have to wait for next
time.  i love family vacations.  i'm thankful that we've made it a huge priority in our
family and blessed to do it.

i might be saying, just take the picture.  you'll be happy we have it someday. ;)
what has your favorite family vacation been?  we don't have plans for 2014 yet!

  4. Hi. I found your blog through instagram...so glad I did! My favorite vacation was Disney until we went on a family mission trip to Mexico. My dream is to rent a RV and drive out west.

  5. Mackinaw, Michigan! It's amazing. A long way from where we are in Canada but it was one of our stops on our cross country drive and it was our favourite!!! That and Lake Louise and Jasper, Alberta in Canada - right in the Rocky Mountains
