speak life.
a lady whose children are likely all grown and out of her home looked at me
with the kindest eyes today and exclaimed, how lucky are you?! when
she saw the twins sharing the front of the Target cart. she caught me at just
the right mix of time that my eyes bubbled over with grateful, happy tears.
embarrassed, i thanked her for saying it that way. i quickly tried to
convey how many times i hear [even if innocently or just people trying
to start a conversation] how glad they are that they didn't get twins.
or better you than me. or oh my! double trouble. or disgusted tone,
i don't know HOW you do it.
she politely ignored my tears and said,
twins run in my family, but i was never lucky enough to get them.
you don't mind them and enjoy those sweet blessings.
our words are so very powerful.
so grateful for those who chose to speak life over me and our babies.

DeleteWhat an encouragement to have such a God appointed moment with a stranger who valued life, and saw the treasure it is to have children. I love when God puts people in my life who are able to speak life into my heart.
