pour out.
my big girls fed a loaf of bread to geese that were standing in our backyard this morning.
i'm ashamed to admit that i had to stop and take a deep breath looking for the good
in that bread being 'wasted.' there was a lot to be found: compassion, love,
sibling bonding time, ingenuity & resourcefulness.
the snow is so cold, mom, and we knew they had to be looking for food.
i need to learn how to more freely throw my stored up, precious
bread [or perfume] out to those who may need it more than me
[or just simply to show love.]

Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI needed this reminder today.
It was hard to find them for a second.

ReplyDeleteLove this! Great perspective!!
ReplyDeleteLove this! We are studying the book of John at our Community Bible Study and Mary using her stored up expensive perfume is a beautiful thing! Shouldn't we use the best or our stored up for the Glory of God? :) A good lesson for sure!
