this sweet boy has been home for three years today.
before him, i knew hearts could love big, but this boy showed me
exactly how wide a heart can stretch with love--that it
doesn't have capacity. that love doesn't divide. it multiplies.
clayton elijah is a joy.
thank you, God, for this precious treasure.

So exciting! If you don't mind me asking, what agency did you guys use for your boys? Also, I read up on the Watoto baby houses and was wondering if people are able to adopt out of their facility? Congrats again!
ReplyDeletei saved your comment so i could e-mail you back when i had a chance, but there isn't an email linked to it. hope you find your way back here!
Deletewe did not use an agency--we adopted independently. watoto believes in raising their children up to be Godly leaders in Uganda, so they do not do international adoption. the rare exception is for their children with special needs.
Love this. Love him. Love God's design for your family!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Lovelyn. That was our wedding song, and to see it in the context of your beautiful story just makes it much more special. Blessings on you and your boy.
ReplyDeletethanks, friend. =)
Deletea treasure indeed. he makes my hug tug. you are so beautiful love!
ReplyDeletethanks, stephanie! xo
DeleteOh magic number 3. The third year is a wonderful milestone for families of adoption... things change...they shift...they settle in , in a new and wonderful way.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you.
I have so much more to say... but for now just ...
Congratulations it is truly something to accomplish.
