bianca is sunshine.
seriously. this girl makes my day so often.
did you know there is big talk in the adoption & 'big family'
community right now about number of children? yes, in several states,
families cannot get a foster care license if they have 5 children or more.
it effects international adoption as well. some people just don't feel like there
is adequate time or love to go around. i even just read an article recently that compared
large families to a group home--adding that many of the kids get lost in the 'shuffle.'
well, meet bianca.
the littlest of seven. happy as a lark. sweet as they come.
crazy adored by each one of us.
thriving with love in her family.
love is love.
in small families or big.

You know I was just marveling at her yesterday- it would NEVER cross my mind that she would get lost in your shuffle. Actually, strangers come to your home and feel love- you have plenty to go around! :)

poor bianca. she obviously needs more love. ;)
ReplyDeletei'm an advocate for big families when it is right. and it is so right here.
your heart is so big. and i have a feeling it is still growing.
I don't understand why so many people are so anti big family. I would so have lots and lots more children running around here if my husband was for it. I love kids and well.....
ReplyDeleteI am just so happy that she isn't getting lost in the shuffle.....her smile and sunshine-y demeanor is contagious....I am smiling now.
I have 5 beautiful littles and wanted to look into fostering but was immediately shut down for already having 5, in our family we have more than enough love to go around.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and happy girl indeed. :) Very sweet photo.

amen, amen, amen. without a doubt, each one of your precious little folk is loved huge and well. shuffle, kerfluffle.
ReplyDeleteAmen. It always bothers me when people criticize Angelina Jolie with statements like, "she doesn't love them all, she's got too many." Not that I care for celebrity lives, but being just a mom of one (another one coming soon) I know how much love, and thought, and consideration, and prayer goes into expanding a family, so any critics out there should get to know these big families and see how much love there is. My grandma, a mother of 6, always said, "more kids, more love."
ReplyDeletethose last two sentences= perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me angry. There are so many kids that are neglected that are from smaller families, why do bigger families get such criticism?
ReplyDeleteI love my big family and as parents we try our hardest to spend time together as a family and make an effort to spend time with each child individually. If you ask our kids they'll tell you they'd have it no other way.
Love these happy sunny and bright pictures of this smiling precious girl! You are a blessed mom...
ReplyDeleteWe live in germany (are a dutch family) and have 6 bio children, i have incuired about adoption because it is my hearts desire to adopt at least two children...
but there are no agencies that are willing to work with us, we had those comments that there would be hardly any difference for the to be adopted child our family of 8 or a childrenshome....
i feel sick to my stomage when i seen pictures of eastern european orphanages and then be confronted with the worries of people here.
When i tell about my 6 kids most of the times i get asked if they all have their own room...i mean how important is that? The younger ones even want to be in the same beds...why would they have their own rooms, they would feel lonely!
Also i cannot count the times my kids come to me and tell me how happy they are about our youngest,he is so loved,
he is two now and the kids are so thankfull God gave him to our family (i miscarried before i got pregnant with him and i think that made them realise it even better)
When we talk about orphans the kids ask me; can't you be their mommy?
i pray one day i will
blessings
Adriana
well said my friend! love is love!
