small style.
this is literally the only picture that i took today.
very unusual for me. i also went to bed at 5am & got up to
put the final touches on the house for a showing.
i ran errands with the babies, answered lots-o-questions
about adoption, got all teary-eyed every time that someone linked up to host
a Love for Anika party & talked to our Anika's class about Africa
for their 'around the world' studies.
also? during all that i didn't have time to put on one stitch of make-up
& it is silly how off one can feel without some mascara.
anyway.
i shared with our girls that the call for help with
[russian] Anika's adoption had gone out today & how
you kind people were already pledging parties in her honor!
they were so excited.
there are people hosting face painting parties, sewing lesson nights,
giving up their wedding shower to Anika, having craft nights,
bonfires & more....
all to help a precious little girl find her family & raise money
for her adoption. hope you can join us, too!
we talked about how our party might play out
and i think we might end up with a few Love for Anika get togethers.
each of the girls had different themes & guest lists!
[how fun for kids to do one!]
chloe immediately grabbed a pencil and began to make her guest list.
all while wearing the t-shirt she wore to school...
I'm Going to Change the World by Ordinary Hero:
i believe that.
