unexpected gift.
if you've followed clayton's journey home, you know that he was at one
facility [Watoto] & transferred to another just 2 days before i met him.
we have chosen to try to strike a careful balance of leaving our children's
stories for them to tell if they wish and sharing what we can for God's glory.
well, this could only be God.
when clayton was brought to that first facility, a man was called in to
come assist with clay's care. the man is a neonatal nurse practitioner and
was there with his family volunteering their time and talents.
it say it succinctly, God used this man to save our boy's life.
they continued their time volunteering there. caring for the babies.
his son, john, ended up having a special bond with our clayton.
for days upon days and nights upon nights, we prayed that our child,
that we didn't yet know, was being loved on, cared for and was safe.
i could never express how wonderful it is to know that God was answering
those prayers through His people.
then, this special family returned home to the States.
through internet relationships, john contacted me after clayton was home.
it was such a gift to hear his love for clay. he gave us pictures
and even videos of baby clayton before we ever knew him.
amazing.
as i prepared for this return trip to his home country,
john wrote asking what dates i would be there.
of all the dates that people could be anywhere in the world,
his mom & dad would also be back in country while i was there.
only God.
i got to hug one of the men that God used to save our boy's life.
thank you could never be enough, dewey, debra and john.
thank you for loving our boy when we couldn't yet.
thank you for loving those babies and that precious country.
thank you for your obedience to serve Him.
thank you Watoto for the care you provide for these children.
thank you God for your extravagant love & unexpected gifts.
