happy day.

it's a snow day, friends!  we got around 10 inches of fresh, glittery fluff

last night & school had already been canceled when i went to bed.  of course,

this means that when the girls wandered into our bedroom this morning, we could 

snuggle back under the covers & they could watch an episode of UmiZoomi while

i dosed for 20 more minutes.  this, my beautiful friends, makes my heart very, very happy.

so, instead of the cleaning/organizing/purging today that was slated to continue today,

we're doing lots of other fun.  clay joined the girls for some coloring. 

lots of tackling, wrestling & rides around the hardwood on each other's bellies.

i actually got the cutest video of clay riding bianca around on his belly...

maybe i'll share later.  they are so funny together.

they went to one end of the hallway & i sat at the other while

we rolled cars back & forth to each other.  i'm in love with clayton's 

scooter shirt & he points to it & says

boda boda! in his little Ugandan accent.  

i loooooove it. 

 

the 'big' girls have been building a village from blocks, cars & people.

they have a doctor's office, school & airport & more.  

i love that they think of more & more things to add to it & are using

paper, scissors, pencils & tape to label them.

they added a fresh water well which melted me, of course.

[we're still waiting to hear where the one you all helped build will go! any day now.]

quite a few people have asked the details of my trip to Africa that is coming up.

i'm going with a group of women that just have a heart to go serve

and be His hands and feet.  we have an "agenda" as to where we are going,

but honestly are just open to His will & will do what is needed when we're there.

we are working with 5 different ministries that i will be highlighting 

here so you can learn about them.

i do plan to blog while there.  i want you to come along with me.  i want you

to see this beautiful country.  the precious children.  the locals that are desperate,

but also the ones that are so, so joyful.  ugand.a is a country that is wrapped in 

beauty & in despair.  they have the largest percentage in the world of population that is 

age 15 and younger.  there will be things that i want to close my eyes to.  that

i don't want to know about, let alone share them with you.  but, as God leads,

i will share.  we have to speak up for these children & i'm thankful that He has

allowed me this trip to have a tiny voice for them.

we don't know about another adoption.  the honest, honest answer is that

we are open to whatever God's will is on this trip.  

if it is "just" to go serve...

if it is to identify a child that He has for our family...

if it is to find a life calling with a ministry there....

if it is even more than that...

may it be.

and remember the tiny, beautiful moments that He blesses us with.
