everyday.

everyday this rambunctious little boy who is full of 

throwing blocks, giggling & breakdancing [seriously]

slowly waddles up to me.

he tugs on my shirt & we sit on the floor.

i marvel at the fact that he loves me, trusts me, 

enough to lie down.

he used to always want to be sitting upright in our arms.

it was a trust issue & i remember crying when he laid down in my arms the 1st time.

i look at his big, brown eyes & remember the very first time i saw him.

i was holding lucas.  rocking him to sleep.

20 minutes later, i held clayton sitting on my lap for the first time.

he held on to me fiercely.  patting my face.  laughing.

like he was home.

and now he is.

{home.}

i get to hold him on my lap.

{everyday.}
