My favorite summer memory was playing neighborhood capture the flag.Whenever I am reminded I go back to that summer and can smell the smells and still hear all of us running through the neighborhood and the *quiet* giggles as we approched the other teams flag...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer memory is laying in the grass and looking at the starts and sleeping under them for the night.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were adopting again. Awesome! Which country?
My favorite summer memory is family trips to the nearby marina to watch the fireworks on Tuesday nights! We would often take stuff for root beer floats! Are you adopting from Uganda again?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer memory is spending lazy, hot days up at our lake cabin in MN. Summers were carefree and perfect. I can't wait for our children to make many of the same memories as they grow up. Thank you for offering this giveaway! I'll be praying for your next little bundle of love!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, my favorite summer memories are of just being a kid. We never really did anything huge or spectacular in the summer when we were kids but we still had the time of our lives!!!
ReplyDeletejust bought a coffee sleeve and would love to win a tee. i think this is a wonderful way to share God's world and word with others. thank you for doing this!

My favorite childhood memory is when we lived on the East Coast and the 3 of us would catch "lightning bugs" and pretend that they were little fairies that would lead us to their magical forest :)
ReplyDeleteNo lightning bugs in the desert :(

One of my favorite Summer memories is making fresh homemade lemonade with my grandmother from the lemons in her garden. It was something we always did as kids and she even carried on the tradition with my children. She knew how to make the best lemonade! She passed away almost 2 years ago and I miss her dearly. Summer just isn't the same without her. ={
ReplyDeleteThough most of the holidays are spent in a village by the sea,to me, summer tastes like coffee ice cream & endless days spent reading under the hot Italian sun.
ReplyDeleteI just wish to say that you story has warmed my heart, left me in awe of God's grace, and even helped me a little bit in my walk with Jesus.
Many blessings from Italy.

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite summer memories is arriving at Grandma's house in OKC and watching as all the June bugs swarmed her porch window and screen door. That site always equaled summer to me.
ReplyDeleteI love summer.
Just tweeted via the hubs(bc I am not cool enough to tweet on my own).
ReplyDeleteMy very favorite is the present...just took the four kids on bikes down to our favorite trail, and stopped for ice cream. Back home to chill out together and just be.
ReplyDeleteWhile doing so I just found your blog....gave me goosebumps. Read your story. Hop over and see my "twin" miracles....26 days apart...together since they were 8 1/2 and 9 1/2 months old and we brought Izzy home from China. Sofi and Izzy are best of friends, and know nothing but being with each other. Congratulations on your beautiful family!

So many great summer memories! The summer I went to the pool every day, or the summer I spent 6 weeks romping through Europe, or 2 summers ago when my son was born. I've always loved summer <3
ReplyDeleteChurch camp campfires.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great, touching giveaway! My grandparents have a pool, so many of my summer memories from my childhood revolve around their backyard. I'm so thankful to be able to bring our girls there to splash and play, just like I did. :)

My favorite summer memory is spending time with my papaw when I was a little girl, going fishing with him and bringing home fish to my gammy to cook for dinner, I miss them so much.
ReplyDeleteSo many favorite memories it is hard to choose. When I was a little girl we would walk down the dirt road to our favorite fishing hole. The elderly couple that lived there would watch out for us and always have hot cookies when we went. We would stop and get a drink from their spring that came out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteFavorite summer memory...spending sweet summer nights at my grandparents when I was a little girl :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, and your heart for adoption :)
Well, so far my favorite summer memories are the ones we just made last week when vacationing in Michigan City on Lake Michigan. My entire family made the 4 hour trip and spent a week just enjoying each others company and our beautiful surroundings. Sitting on the beach watching the kids play in the waves and sand and enjoying the beautiful view...ahh...I wish we could have spent more time there, but we will definitely return! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer memory would be running through the backyard at night with my brother and sister catching fireflies (30 years ago).
ReplyDeleteFavorite summer weather: walking from my parents cabin to the water in the pitch black to lay on the cool sand and watch meteor showers. My dad worked at the weather office and always knew the best nights to see the meteors.

my favorite summer memory was when we first got our daughter through foster care, we went to Disney World. I cried as we walked in with my 3 children...my dream come true. This February we finalized her adoption...so this will be my best summer yet!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Love! My favorite memory has got to be swinging on this ENORMOUS swing that hung from an ENORMOUS old live oak on my grandparents property in Chesapeake, VA. I would spend hours trying to touch the leaves with my toes. It broke my heart when my grandpa had it taken down...gettin' too dangerous. Anyway, I'd love to win a Tshirt for my sis-n-law Shelly. Both her kids were adopted from the Ukraine. And her birthday is right around the corner!! luv, liz
ReplyDeletei just love summer! all memories in the sunshine are wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite summer memory is that of my parents holding my baby while walking in the garden. They live in the UK and i live in Australia. This memory gets me through the days of homesickness and the sadness i feel knowing that they wont get to see their grandbaby very often. Lisa.xx
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite memory is of camping with my boys--I had the revelation this one particular trip that all three of them were old enough to just go without me holding their hand every move and I though AWWWW THIS has to be perfection!! And now we will bring their baby sister into our lives through adoption, which you played a very big part of. Not just saying that...you really did. I have a new blogging friend that is asking me the same questions I asked you--I can't wait for them to take the next step. And by the way--I LOVE my coffee wrap from you, so I would delight in one of your shirts too!
ReplyDeletemy dads birthday is on 4th of july so i loved that evey year we would always have tons of family come down to our house. a few family members still come celebrate with us!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer memory has got to be camping with my family. The cool nights listening to the wind blow outside the tent, mornings around the campfire for breakfast, fun in the lake and much more!
ReplyDeleteSo, I went ahead and posted on my blog. I love following your story as I was adopted at birth. I love hearing of your journey and how you are adjusting. Here is the link to my blog.

My favorite summer memory is spending time at Lake Erie with my whole extended family - we would rent a cottage and jam in - aunts, uncles, cousins ... it was a blast. I hope to provide the same sort of memories for my kids!
ReplyDeleteBy far, my favorite summer memory was camping with my family and grandparents at a lake in Oklahoma. We water-skied, swam, played and played and played.
ReplyDeleteSpending time with my family in the UP of Michigan where the bugs were plentiful, the water was cold, the beaches were usually rocky and we always had a great time!
ReplyDeleteI tweeted about the giveaway, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we can make a difference for someone.
Much Love

My favorite summer memories are playing outside until the light is almost gone, sitting on top of the sliding board listening to my boombox which was playing Joan Jett or New Kids on the Block. Good times!

I want to personally THANK YOU for helping me make my most favorite summer memory happen. I am a pretty high strung person. It is hard for me to just let go and let my kids get dirty. To let them just be kids. We had a big rain storm on a warm day a few weeks ago. My three kids and I headed out the door to play in the rain. We jumped in puddles, and I laughed my head off watching my kids over flow with joy. It was perfection, even with a rainbow over our heads. All 3 kids then piled into a warm bath where the fun continued. It was an evening I will never forget. Thank you for making me realize that in letting go there is great joy!!!

My favorite memory are the summer vacations my family took to the beach. I would share a room with my sister and ride waves in the ocean with her. We were the best of friends those weeks. Now we watch as our children vacation together and ride waves making castles in the sand.
ReplyDeleteSweet memories...Ashley

My favorite summer memories are ALL of them. My mother is a school teacher and always had summers off with us. We would go on "adventures" every day. I only hope I can give my children half of the fun she gave us!
ReplyDeleteLovelyn do you not ship to Canada?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer memory this year has to be the vacation my husband and I just took. It was close to home but very much needed. We've been struggling with becoming pregnant and going through the emotions of wanting to adopt but in God's timing, it's all been so stressful. It was really nice to get away and try not to care about anything but us.
ReplyDeletei'll ship anywhere, i just need to figure out cost. just convo me with your location and i'll figure it for you and set up a listing! thanks!
ReplyDeletejust bought a couple of your coffee cuffs. you have an amazing story to tell; thank you for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer memory is now; spending time with my 4 kids. It doesn't get any better than this! We spend mornings just being together and afternoons at the pool swimming with each other and friends.

My favorite summer memory is just hanging out at my granny's house with all of my cousins. There was always fun to be had when we were all together!
ReplyDeleteOne summer my sisters and I threw a backyard carnival for all the kids in the neighborhood-- it was so much fun to organize and put on!
ReplyDeleteNext baby? Awesome. You amaze and inspire me (I'm a tired mamaof 2:-)
ReplyDeleteWould love to win a cool t-shirt! My favorite summer memory growing up was the summer my mom was laid off--she worked all my growing up days with the exception of that summer. I don't even remember what we did, just remember I loved spending the time with her. Makes me contemplate becoming a SAHM as I type this out....

My favorite summer memory was going up north (what us Michiganders call the wilderness 3 or 4 hours away :P) and staying in a cabin that belonged to one of my dad's coworkers. My 3 brothers and I were in a room together that week, and we'd stay up late telling stories and laughing and having the best of fun. Our family would go swimming in the lake, get ice cream at the local ice cream parlor, and play putt-putt. My favorite part was sitting on the porch swing with my brothers - and then getting scared silly when a bat flew right past us! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, Love. You do inspire me.

Favorite summer memories ... we used to live on the corner of a farm ... and I would put on my prettiest dress, pretend I was Anne of Green Gables (please tell me you know who she is!), pile up a few of my favorite books and laze my afternoon's away, lying in the long grassy fields, making friends with the moles, chipmunks and ever deer in the field. I love to daydream and as a child, the laziest, quietest afternoon in the country was the best way to spend my summer hours ...
ReplyDeletegoing to the beach with my family & grandparents...good times!
