is there anything that feels as good as the first opening of the windows in Spring?

anything that feels so light as trading in the winter coat 

for a light, colorful one?

anything as freeing as hiding the boots in the back of the closet &

bringing out the flip flops?

anything that feels as hopeful as standing in 

the middle of the brown grass

[seeing the green reaching through]

and hearing the sounds of your children 

playing outside?

oh, the fresh.
