yes, i know it's late, but here's our family picture from this very special weekend. we had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday filled with egg hunts, great worship with our church family, serving in the newborn room, (NINE infants---i LOVE it!), lunch with an old friend, kite flying, and snuggling together to read the Easter story before bed.

i had to check myself in worship on Sunday. i was singing of Jesus' great sacrifice for me while looking around at all the beautiful spring fashion. i felt guilty for a minute. i love Easter Sunday so much. it is THE day that essentially defines my beliefs. my God died, brutally, on a cross..but on this day was Resurrected and now lives forever. He did this so I can live forever. amazing.

so, as i mentally chastised myself for my love of fashion....i quickly realized that i love just what the fashion of Easter Sunday symbolizes, too. freshness.....hope......renewal

although i have to be careful about the love of material things, my heart was truly connected to the right place in that moment of worship. it made my heart happy to see the freshness around me and to know that He is going to make all the world new again. renewal.
