happy wishes

ellie-bellie....how can a year have gone by already?! it seems like it was just last thanksgiving. we were all so anxious to meet you. even though you weren't quite due, we thought for sure you'd be here. i hosted a chili dinner/bonfire for 40 people right before thanksgiving....then hosted thanksgiving with all the family here, too. but, despite all the preparation, fun, & cleaning up afterwards....you had other plans.

you were worth the wait.

what a delight & perfect addition to our family you are. you are sweet & so laid back. you allow your older sisters to even believe that they, too, are your mothers on some days. you make the cutest little fish face where you suck your cheeks together. you love to wave at everyone, play games, explore w/ the girls, and bop up & down whenever you hear music. you're obsessed with climbing the stairs right now and are now walking up to 6 steps at a time.

i've often heard people say that they don't know if they could have more children because they are afraid that they won't be able to have enough love. ellie, you have proven to me that just the opposite is true. my heart's capacity grew because of you.
