new endeavor

after being with a wonderful company for 6 years, my husband has left his postition as chief operating officier to build houses on his own. it has always been one of his dreams...and i'm so excited that we've taken the leap of faith. our new business is called crusader homes. so, in the last two weeks we've been working our little booties off to get everything up and running. i've turned into cheerleader, secretary, marketing team, model home stager, photographer, & stategist overnight it seems. =) but, i am happy to do it. above is the logo that we've come up with while collaborating with matt's sister who happens to be a graphic designer. crusader is a reference to our town's university mascot which is where matt also graduated from.

we came up with tailored to fit your dreams while i was thinking about having some slacks tailored to me, as it was annoying to have to wear a certain height heel with them due to the long length. i was feeling like a kitten heel that day...but, not so hot with slacks dragging on the floor. =) isn't that what everyone wants from their home? tailored to their dreams.

the most challenging part so far is that our home is going to be the model home for now. i have very set feelings how a model home should look. and although i'm very anti-clutter anyway...i HAVE to do a re-organization and major de-cluttering of every inch of my house. i did the kitchen and the screen porch today:

so, 2 rooms down...only......oh, i don't want to know how many more to go. =) it'll get there sometime! (definitely should be doing one right now...but needed some distraction for a bit!)
anyway--just wanted to share how proud i am of my hubby....congratulations on following your dream & your 1st pre-sold already!! i love you! =)
here's one of my favorite quotes from my trip to dallas a couple of weeks ago (more on that later!):
"The dream wouldn't have been put inside of you if you weren't able to acheive it."

although, yes, that truly is my home...rest assured that piled up behind me while taking the pictures were the normal random stacks of mail, kiddie toys, & "lost" shoes! =)
